The principal consultant is David Williams who achieved an honours degree in Bacteriology from Trinity College (Dublin) before joining the research department of Jefferson Smurfit to start his life long interest in packaging. Subsequently he worked with Loctite and National Adhesives covering a number of roles from Quality Control and Assurance, through Packaging Development and Technical Support.
The last 15+ years in industry were with GlaxoSmithKline in a variety of roles from Packaging Development, Control of Technical Specifications, Production Support with both site and global responsibilities including the investigation of suspect packs and the introduction of new technologies.
He also holds a Masters degree in Project Management, was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Packaging in 1995, is Chair of the IOP Board of Examiners and an Honorary Teaching Fellow of Lancaster University. Since leaving GlaxoSmithKline he has started his own consultancy specialising in Packaging Technology and Project Management - primarily in education and pack security.
Additionally papers have been, and continue to be, presented at various conferences across Europe, America and Australia.
